'Fiscal Incentives for IT Units'
To ascertain and assess the major incentive schemes currently being applied in the State, Government of Kerala has set up Standard Investment Subsidy (SIS)/ Investment and Promotion Management Cell (IMPC). SIS/IPMC is a scheme to put in place a package of incentives, which will make Kerala one of the most attractive destinations in IT in the country. The activities envisaged in the cell include disbursement of incentives to eligible IT units, administration and contingent expenditure, support for IT Units etc. The cell, in turn, provides effective insight towards a practicable manner of promoting Governance in the State. IPMC promises a rapid migration of the State to the most attractive IT destination in the Country. Fiscal incentives are applicable to all eligible companies operating in Kerala other than those located within a Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The Fiscal incentives announced in the IT Policy 2017 are operative from 01.12.2016 and shall remain in force for a period of 6 years. The revised subsidy manual was approved by State Government. Monitoring Approach
- KSITM is responsible for monitoring the registration and release of subsidy
- Respective co-coordinating officers are responsible for the Subsidy verification/processing
- Monitoring and scrutiny of Standard Investment Subsidy applicable for the companies
- 30% of Fixed Capital Investment subject to a limit of Rs. 15 Lakhs (For companies located in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam)
- 50% of Fixed Capital Investment subject to a limit of Rs. 25 Lakhs (For companies located in Wayanad and Idukki)
- 40% of Fixed Capital Investment subject to a limit of Rs. 25 Lakhs (Other Districts)
IPMC Portal
- Registration can be done online through http://ipmc.kerala.gov.in
- IPMC portal can be referred for subsidy manual which is the reference document for subsidy
- The status of subsidy releases to be tracked by means of IPMC system and would be available with KSITM.
