Government of Kerala has initiated action for universal Aadhaar enrollment linking all government databases. Citizens were empowered to access government services and grievance filing through mobile applications and web portals. Aadhaar based biometric authentication used for eKYC purposes and also for the direct disbursement of subsidies and benefits to the beneficiaries. Government has taken measures in adopting Free and Open Source (FOSS) technologies for developing eGovernance projects. Language localization helped to bring more awareness and increased usage of ICT in the state. Government is now in the process of transforming Akshaya ecosystem into state of the art centers in citizen centric service delivery and centers of excellence in ICT enabled services.
