About the Project
Kerala eService Portal SEVANAM is launched as a Good Governance Initiative, has used technology to aggregate almost all online services (G2C Government to Citizens and G2B Government to Business) of Government of Kerala, in a single platform for the Citizens of Kerala. Further, the impact of the pandemic has accelerated the need for swift access to Government Services at the comfort of their home. And this has been the driving factor for many departments to shift their services from offline to online mode.
Advantages to Citizens
Citizens no more has to search here and ther, but can quickly find their online services in SEVANAM through the Universal search bar and need not bother which department provides what. For instance, one can search for “Birth” for all Birth Certificate related online services. Similarly, Target User Category helps to find the Services that would be helpful for them. For instance, the Students category shows services related to scholarships, schemes, grants, challan payments, technical education and so on.
Service Charter provides brief description of service, documents required to upload and stipulated time limit for the department to render that service. Dashboard of services provide details like requests received, closed and pending.
Technological Changes in the Project
In addition to the consolidation of services of 60 departments in a single platform, Kerala eService Portal SEVANAM, all mobile-friendly services are rendered through a mobile application.
What will go live on October 2nd?
Phase 1 project is launched with a whopping 500 eServices of 60 departments in Kerala eService Portal SEVANAM and 450 mobile-friendly mServices in the mobile application. Online Dashboard of Services with status of services on a State and District level are also launched as part of SEVANAM launch.
Future Scalability (1st November)
Here on, any new online services of the Government of Kerala would be available in SEVANAM. Additional services are expected in SEVANAM by coming days.
