Inviting quotations from various agencies to replace/refill the existing fire extinguishers installed at 14 FRIENDS Janasevanakendram with the following specifications;

Mono Ammonium Phosphate 90 (02 Kg) - Required Nos - 24
  • The current and valid BIS certification IS 15683:2006 needs to be submitted along with offer.
  • Dry Chemical powder used as extinguishing agent should be Mono Ammonium Phosphate with more than 90% concentration conforming to IS 14609:1999.
  • MSDS of the powder needs to be submitted along with the offer.
  • The Product should be EN Approved and CE marked.
  • The Manufacturer has to submit 5 years warranty on the extinguishers
  • Vessel used in the manufacturing should be constructed using Deep Drawn Technology to keep seamless area not less than 70% of the cylinder.
  • Each vessel needs to be checked for tensile strength upto 35 kgf/cm2 and Manufacturer has to submit Hydrostatic pressure testing certificate for the same.
  • The extinguishers should be pressurized using high grade Dry Nitrogen as per IS 1747 standard. OEM declaration should be submitted.
  • In-house Helium Leak Detection Testing is must to ensure maintenance of Stored Pressure in the cylinder over a period of 5 Years.
  • Tamper-proof safety seal.
  • Fire Rating for class A : 1A and Class B: 8B needs to be provided for the extinguisher.
  • The firm should submit the product performance test report from NABL accredited Government Lab.
  • The extinguisher must have Pressure Gauge,
  • Gross Weight must not exceed 3.6 Kg & Empty Weight shall upto 1.6 Kg.
  • Maximum Height of the Can must be 344MM & Diameter upto 108MM
  • Discharge time not less than 08 Secs.
  • The Extinguisher must have controllable discharge mechanism to provide flexibility of releasing extinguishing agent on targeted fire location.
  • Minimum effective range 2 Meters.

Clean Agent HFC-236fa (FE 36) 02 - Required Nos - 10
  • The Extinguishing agent used in fire Extinguisher must have Zero Ozone Depletion Potential.
  • The bidder must submit Letter of Authorisation from OEM for using Clean Agent (HFC-236fa) in Portable Fire Extinguisher.
  • The Clean Agent (HFC-236fa) should be listed under EPA’s SNAP program, Underwriters Laboratories and NFPA 2001.
  • The current and valid BIS certification IS 15683:2006 needs to be submitted along with offer.
  • The Product should be EN Approved and CE marked. Valid certificate as on date needs to be submitted alongwith the bid.
  • The Manufacturer has to provide minimum 05 years warranty on the extinguishers.
  • The bidder must submit Material Safety Data Sheet for HFC-236fa Gas.
  • The Extinguisher must have controllable discharge mechanism to provide flexibility of releasing extinguishing agent on targeted fire location.
